The women at the tomb had the right information—an empty tomb, an angel’s message, a reminder of Jesus’ promise—but their frame didn’t allow for resurrection. At least not yet. But Mary’s frame changed when she heard her name from the lips of the risen Christ. And that changed everything.
…your fear of standing before God is likely holding you back from stepping into the opportunities that he is setting before you. And that is a tragedy because God wants to give you a rich, full, abundant life that is greater and grander than anything you could ask or imagine.
But we find the courage we need in Jesus. What Jesus does is he gives us a new life with him in God’s kingdom….because the qualities of the life that Jesus gives to us can never ever be taken away from us by anyone, there is no fear of loss, regardless of the situation we find ourselves in.
The stronger our faith in God to defeat the giants in our life and the more areas of our life to which we apply that giant-slaying faith, the weaker anxiety’s ability will be to rule over our lives.
…our actions flow out of our identity, and sometimes, especially when we do things that we later regret, it is because we suffer a form of amnesia, we temporarily forget who we are, and we do something totally out of character for us. So how do we find our way out of this dilemma of reoccurring temporary amnesia that keeps leading to regretful actions?
The Holy Spirit helps us to have shalom peace in Jesus.
