It is only in community that we can fully become the new person that God intends for us to be.
When we come the very end of all our personal resources, …we are driven into a deeper reliance on the Holy Spirit. In that deeper reliance, the Holy Spirit convinces us of the greater life we have in Jesus.
The foundation of the comfort that Jesus gives is the triune nature of God.
We live in a time of great technology, but when it comes to the problems faced by humanity, we’ve got nothing. Humanity needs a new operating system, but where will we get it?
It is not God who condemns us, it is our sin that condemns us. But Jesus has taken our sins away from us and given us new life in a new ship, and with him as our captain, he will safely pilot us to the safe harbor of the wonderful future he has in store for us.
We immerse ourselves in God’s words and promises to us, allowing the Holy Spirit to impact our memory so that we remember what we need to remember, to impact our understanding so that we have room for resurrection life in our understanding of reality, and to impact our heart so that we believe what we need to believe about Jesus.
The Holy Spirit gives us the abundant life for which we thirst.
