Red Letter Challenge 1: Introduction

Sometimes we can have great intentions to go to one place and end up somewhere else. And the negative impressions that non-Christians have about Christians suggest that that is what’s happening as we follow Jesus. It is time for us to re-focus and aim for a new way of living by taking the words of Jesus and putting them into practice. By putting God’s Word into practice, and aiming at the targets of Being, Forgiving, Serving, Giving and Going, we will find the life that God has made for us. (Based on Mt. 7:13-29.)

The Promise of Advent 4: Love

Though we suffer now, Jesus came into the world to make us children of God, give us the promise of future glory, and unite us with him, and nothing, not even death, will ever separate us from him and his great love for us.

The Promise of Advent 3: Joy

We can have joy, even in tough times, because Jesus, who saved us, will also return to restore and renew all things, including us.

The Promise of Advent 2: Peace

Resting in the new reality Jesus has given us, we have peace that surpasses all understanding.

The Promise of Advent 1: Hope

Jesus promised to be with us now & bring us to our heavenly home in the future. Therefore, we have unshakeable hope in him.

Essentials 4: In Christ Alone & For God’s Glory Alone

Safe and secure in the salvation, eternal life and forgiveness that we have in Jesus Christ alone, we are able to live for God’s glory alone.

Essentials 2: Faith Alone

Jesus is God’s righteousness for us because he has fully fulfilled all the ways that we fall short.

Essentials 1: Grace Alone

Only the grace we receive from Jesus will keep our heart and soul in a right relationship with God.

Faith Over Fear 5: Choose Whom You Will Serve

Jesus gives. Then he invites us into an exclusive relationship with him where we receive.

Faith Over Fear 4: Marking Memories that Matter

Creating memory markers of what God has done for us help us to remember that we are his people in this world.
