How to Keep a Prayer Journal

If you would like to keep a prayer journal, here is a way that you can do it. There are other ways, of course, but I will share with you what I found works for me.

First, get a notebook (or use a note app on your phone). Starting at the front, write down today’s date, then your prayer request. Leave an empty line before your next prayer request. As you pray through your list of prayers each day, put a check mark beside the prayers that were answered in the way that you asked, put an X beside the prayers that were not answered in the way that you asked and put a T beside the prayers that were just for a certain time, like when you prayed for Aunt Flo on her birthday, and the time for that prayer has passed. That way you can skip over the prayers that have a check mark, an X or a T beside them. Take note of how many prayers have a check mark beside them. You may be surprised.
