Miraculous Signs

- Jesus pointed out that a prophet has no honour in his own country. (He was likely referring to the region of Galilee within which he grew up.) Why possible reasons might there be for this?
- When the royal official whose son was sick came to Jesus, Jesus said, “Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders, you will never believe.” (See 1 Corinthians 1:22 “Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom,”) Perhaps Jesus was checking the motives of the royal official. What would have been a bad motive to approach Jesus? Does that happen today?
