Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14)
I often forget to pursue holiness as a goal in life. I pursue many other things, and sometimes I try to use God to get the things that I want. But he is too wise to play that

game with me. Instead he watches over me with love while I flounder around until I finally come to my senses and pursue him. For he is the one in whom I find all that I need: all the love, all the peace, all the joy, all the fulfillment, all the purpose and meaning that I passionately desire to feel this aching, empty hole within me.
Pursuing Holiness is not a way that we can earn God’s love, favour or acceptance. Pursuing holiness is how we live because we already are loved, favoured and accepted by God through his Son, Jesus Christ. Holiness is an essential part of the character of God, and it is an essential part of our lives now that we are children of God. Holiness is a gift that Jesus has given us.
Dear Jesus, I thank you for making me holy. Though I am a sinner through and through, you have clothed me it with your holiness. By your Holy Spirit, help me to embrace holiness as a way of life. Amen.
