…your fear of standing before God is likely holding you back from stepping into the opportunities that he is setting before you. And that is a tragedy because God wants to give you a rich, full, abundant life that is greater and grander than anything you could ask or imagine.
We human beings are far more like sheep than we want to admit. And, like sheep, we need a shepherd.
Only God’s love can change us into being people who love him in return, and gladly accept and live by the structure he gives us because we know that it is good for us and others.
One of the many beautiful things about the Christian faith it that it resonates with all the facets of the human soul throughout all stages of human life.
Every time we come up against a situation where we feel overwhelmed and inadequate, we can remember that God is our Father. … we remember those strengths that we see in our Heavenly Father, then we trust that because he is our heavenly Father, those strengths are somehow also in us. We have inherited them from him because we are his children and he is our Father.
Our normal way of making decisions doesn’t work for those really tough problems which we cannot resolve. Jesus has a better way.
We all have ruling thoughts in our minds, and we all use those ruling thoughts to interpret what we see going on around us and inside of us. How do we know if the ruling beliefs in our minds are correct?
The greatest greatness of God was disguised as an ordinary human being who came to save the world: Jesus Christ.
The only way that we can be truly kind, loving, generous and gracious toward the world is if we believe deep down in our hearts that God is kind, gracious, loving and generous toward us.
As you embrace God’s amazing grace and unconditional love for you, that love and joy will shine through you, and you will be filled with joy as God’s grace touches the hearts of others and welcomes them home.
